27 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1860: Aww crap i disnt read all you wrote before voting cancle
27 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1860: It couldn't have been very important. :-)

Oh! About getting together. On 8/1, I'm leaving town on vacation until 8/23. You had mentioned your schedule being busy this week, so I said that I figured it might be easier toward the end of the month.

My name is Jeff Yoak and my number is 626-705-6996 . It'll be easier to figure that stuff out with texts or calls.
29 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1860: lol important or not it was going to get under my skin not knowing. i forgot voting cancel would make the page vanish.
ill txt ya...... 626 wtf. foreigner
29 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1860: johnny wish
29 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1861: Hey, Johnny. Tonight also wouldn't be a bad night for a live game (whether finishing this one or starting one generally.)

I've had a hard, productive and tiring week, and my plan for tonight is to get baked and do extremely productive things like watching TV and playing live Dip games. You'll have an above-average advantage. ;-)
29 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1861: lolololol
29 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1861: last night i went back to work at 8.30 i wasnt around. im on now and got all day just let me know
29 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1861: I have to get myself together now and go get my kids. We leave for Florida on Tuesday and will be gone 23 days, so I imagine that it'll be a pretty full day today. But I might be around tonight for a game.
29 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1861: aww that sounds nice. stay away from the alligators!
29 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1861: I did get to play G v I stoned last night. I started off with the accomplishment of moving Munich to Burgundy in S'01 which is a beautiful thing when you get away with it and get Marseilles for the triple build and now surround Italy. And that worked beautifully. But in my state, "Munich" looked like "Marseilles" and I moved back there, getting only two builds and being back in Munich. And I *still* won. I think my opponent may not have been so strong at that variant.

29 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1861: i did not know there was 1v1 on web dip
29 Jul 17 UTC Autumn, 1861: this is a new play for me on this varient. my goal was to secure Kentucky off the start. i think it went well so far
29 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1862: lol that was a good move moving back to munich!
29 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1862: for some reason i didnt think u would get stoned. felt like u was a phd or realestate genius. but i remember now u work on information systems. right?
29 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1862: user name fadedbox......... yup im straight edge
29 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1862: i actually have like 3 accounts on here but i dont go on them ever. cuz iv been banned befor..... shhhhh. i actually could remember my user name. thought it was fadedbox but it wasnt so i made a new account with new ip of course fadedbox then accidentally logged in to my first account witch was fadded box (with a space) and was like ohhhhhhh yea
30 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1862: lol. Yeah, I worked most of my career in high tech. Though I have academic background in both computer science and math, my career for the last 15 years or so leading up to semi-retirement, was in tech management in internet companies. Now I do recruiting, organizational development and some tech consulting. I'm divorced, and with my kids full time, half of the time, and without someone else, I decided the long hours and commuting to the L.A. area wasn't compatible with living the life I wanted to with them. So I switched, work from home, consult and recruit (which is super-lucrative. They pay 20-30% of base salary of anyone I find, and most of those guys make about $150k, so big pay days... and I have the benefit of having known everyone in the industry for decades. The hiring managers often worked for me at some point, or at least know I can build incredible teams, and my contacts include over a thousand engineers... so I have some built in advantages.) All of this lets me make about what I did before, but working very little on days that kids are around, and letting me schedule the rest of it around what suits me. It also makes vacations like the coming one easier. :-)

As to stoned, I never did before coming to California, but the tech scene, especially back then, was rather drug-heavy, and I tried a lot of things. The only thing that stuck was smoking occasionally. I maybe drink alcohol a half dozen times per year or so, and then it is just wine with dinner or something else where it is socially easier to drink than not. The only thing I really take to relax or have fun is weed.

Heads up is new on webdip, in the last few months, and there are only a few variants. There are strengths and weakness of the two sites. I started there and joined this one because of the variants. They still only have five, with a few twists (like the few 1:1 variants they have.) Here there are just endless things to try which is fun. Over there, they have a healthier and larger player base. It's easier to get games of truly good players together there than it is here. So I just play both at once. Two pinned tabs at the left of my browser to distract me when I should be searching for programmers or something. :-)
30 Jul 17 UTC Spring, 1862: The early grab on KY which costs a first year build is interesting. I think it might be even better if I didn't do the similarly unusual all-army build. I'm positioned to defend the center better than I am to rove and grow. If I had been out at sea, you'd probably be seriously threatening Ohio by now, instead of simply pinning me in it making growth difficult. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out.
03 Aug 17 UTC Autumn, 1862: I aint feeling well. Can we put this on hold
