20 Jul 16 UTC | Spring, 1870: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed. |
21 Jul 16 UTC | Spring, 1870: Info: This is a choose your country game. |
25 Jul 16 UTC | Spring, 1871: Anyone else thinks it's weird to have Turkey and Holland in this variant? I mean, they had no major influence over Asian affairs, unlike the other powers. What do you think? |
25 Jul 16 UTC | Spring, 1871: Indonesia was clearly a Dutch colony in the 19th century (after being portugese before). Turkey while not having lots of influence into far east asia, and not too far power in the 19th century, they were in historical conflict with Russia, limiting their options in Asia significantly, and also stood in the way of British expansion in the region, at least slowing them down. |
25 Jul 16 UTC | Spring, 1871: And of course, in diplomacy maps it's all about balance, so things may be overrepresened compared to actual history. |
26 Jul 16 UTC | Spring, 1871: Indonesia was a Dutch colony, yes, but an irrelevant one to the mid 19th century Asian geopolitics. Not sure if Turkey could present a threat to Russia in the Middle East, and definitely couldn't stand against Britain in a post-Crimean War context. But yeah, I agree it was done for balance purposes! |
27 Jul 16 UTC | Autumn, 1871: 2 beer that china will CD now... |
27 Jul 16 UTC | Autumn, 1871: GameMaster: China voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes Concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Conceede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
30 Jul 16 UTC | Autumn, 1872: This site has no Civil Disorder mechanic? China is dead long ago |
02 Aug 16 UTC | Spring, 1873: Uhm it already been in civil disoder for a while |
02 Aug 16 UTC | Spring, 1873: BRITAIN!!!! IT'S ALIVEEEE |
02 Aug 16 UTC | Spring, 1873: What ????? Im Still here bitch !! |
09 Aug 16 UTC | Autumn, 1874: Hey people, join the RINASCIMENTO game (12 players, Anon, PPSC)! http://www.vdiplomacy.com/board.php?gameID=27624 |
11 Aug 16 UTC | Autumn, 1874: Join SOUTH AMERICAN SUPREMACY game (8 players, Anon, PPSC)! http://vdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=27660 |
11 Aug 16 UTC | Autumn, 1874: Games would be far more attractive to me if they were WTA instead of PPSC, and slightly slower in pace. Rinascimento in one day turns is too fast for all the negotiations necessary there. |
11 Aug 16 UTC | Spring, 1875: I prefer webDiplomacy system. The solo winner always gets all points (like WTA) while the draws can be either "Draw-Size" (drawers get the same amount of points, like in vDiplomacy) or "Sum-of-Squares" (drawers get as much points as they have SCs). A much better system. |
12 Aug 16 UTC | Spring, 1875: 1 day pace for me is also very fast, 1,5-2 days would be best. |
12 Aug 16 UTC | Spring, 1875: I mostly play through my phone, so it's not that bad for me. Played one 2-days game in the "Pirates" variant and man, what a chore. That game lasted forever, specially in the end when we reached a stalemate with the frontrunner. We ended up drawing, just to end that game ;P. |
23 Aug 16 UTC | Autumn, 1877: GameMaster: Russia voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
23 Aug 16 UTC | Spring, 1878: As we have talked by private, I propose a 4-way draw between the Ottoman Empire, the Russian Empire, the Empire of Japan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as soon as the Republic of France is eliminated from Asia. |
